Inspired editing ideas

I was just sitting in my living room breakfast watching drakes music video - headlines and i notices a lot of fast cutting, jump shits, effects and quick short blackouts, so i decided to go on the internet and take some screen shots. This caught my eye as i also noticed that the shits changed at every beat; baring in mind that the beats are extra fast and continuous. below is the video and some scream shots to show where the editing takes place, which is mainly throughout the video.

As you can see below that the shots that are taken are close ups, long shots, and mid shots all placed into one   scene. Which shows that the editor purposely done this to grab the audiences attention and is very eye catching if i noticed it myself. I also noticed that the three shots that were put together on one scene the artist had the same colour clothing which was was red and black, which also stood out to me.

As i mentions before that there were a lot of short black outs and cropped mid shots.

Below are also some editing screen shots that i picked up when watching the music videos. Nicki Minajs videos; Massive Attack consisted of fades into different scenes of the music videos therefore being able to see the previous shot as well as the next shot. This made me think of talking to the group about maybe incorporating some fades in our music video.

Below are some more screen-shots of different effects for example duplicating our "artist" so on the screen it looks like there is two of her, therefore allowing the audience to feel they are getting the best out of the artist, as there not just getting one but two. Also as our music video is female dominate we want it to include sexiness without being exposed so using lips but multiple times.
